Dr. Matt Brooks has been providing care for patients at Advanced Laser and Cataract Center in Oklahoma City since 2007. During this time, Dr. Brooks has enjoyed his duties of preoperative and post-operative care of patients undergoing LASIK, PRK, ICL, INTACS, crosslinking, cataract and clear lens exchange surgeries. Additionally, Dr. Brook’s primary eye care has included comprehensive eye health examinations, glaucoma and macular degeneration management, kerataconus contact lens fitting, and YAG laser capsulotomies.
Dr. Brooks attended Kansas State University and went on to Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee where he graduated in 2007. Dr. Brooks is an adjunct professor at NSUOCO and has clinical interns he oversees at Advanced Laser and Cataract Center. Outside of his professional duties, Dr. Brooks devotes much of his hands-on time to his family. He is a proud father of two children. When he’s not with his family, he also enjoys fitness, home improvement, and dirt bike riding in the mountains of Colorado. Dr. Brooks is also involved in his church, where he has served as an elder for the past six years.
Dr. Brooks enjoys helping optometry move forward, and has been a part of the legislative committee of the Oklahoma Optometric Association, supporting candidates at the state level and educating legislators on best eye care practices for the citizens of Oklahoma.
